Spirits at Stowe
Dust off that old Ouija Board and be prepared to mingle with the dearly departed. The Spirits at Stowe tour explores the role of Spiritualism in the lives of reformers, suffragists, and Black activists. During the tour, the Stowe House is set to reflect a Spiritualist setting, taking place later in the evening and lit by (electric) candlelight. You will engage with the materials of Spiritualism on display throughout the house so as to consider the possibilities, limitations, and contradictions of Spiritualist beliefs.
