Sister Act: A Divine Musical Comedy
ActUp Theater is getting back in the habit this winter with it’s production of Sister Act. This gloriously funny musical, set in the ’90s, brings together comedy, music, and the power of finding your own voice. Sister Act follows the sassy diva Deloris, who witnesses a murder and is placed in protective custody as the one thing no one would suspect: A NUN. Deloris is then needed to help teach music to teens at a troubled school in hopes of keeping the facility from closing. Can Sister Mary Clarence shape the rowdy students into a real choir?
