Salons at Stowe: Finding Our Place in Technology

The Stowe Center invites you to attend for Salons at Stowe, 21st century parlor conversations about contemporary social justice issues over snacks and refreshments. Since 2008, Salons have provided a forum for lively discussion on topics rooted in 19th century that remains pressing today. In this session, author and scholar Dr. Ruha Benjamin’s recent TED Talk asks us to consider humanity’s relationship to technology. Using this talk as a spring board, you’ll explore the benefits and pitfalls of this growing technological age and discuss the possibilities that this growth envisions.
