Give and Receive: Transgender Day of Remembrance
Join Activist and DJ Ephraim Adamz this Transgender Day of Remembrance for a flag raising on Pratt Street followed by proclamation outside Hartford City Hall to commemorate the anniversary of the murder of Rita Hester, one of the many black trans women who’s killing sparked the first Transgender Day of Remembrance. Although she was killed in Massachusetts, Ms. Hester grew up in the Dutch Point projects of Hartford and attended Buckley High School.
