Curator Talk: Betty Parsons: Shaping Abstraction

Noted art dealer Betty Parsons (1900–1982) played an important role in steering modern art in America through her representation of emerging, avant-garde artists and helping many women artists of the time achieve recognition. In conjunction with the exhibition Dusti Bongé: Mississippi Modernist, Erin Monroe, Krieble Curator of American Paintings and Sculpture, and Laura Leonard, Art Bridges Project Coordinator, discuss artworks in the Wadsworth’s collection that reflect Parsons’s influence and feminist approach.
