Connecticut Ballet presents BALLET UNDER THE STARS
Connecticut Ballet’s annual BALLET UNDER THE STARS performance tour around the state comes to Elizabeth Park Conservancy, with a performance at the historic national landmark and special event venue. The performance is a tribute performance to the late Marjorie and Michael Wilder, West Hartford residents and longstanding arts patrons and community servants.
Narrated by Artistic Director Brett Raphael, the performance will feature the professional company in a series of romantic duets and culminate in a performance of the popular, Fosse Medley, featuring standards by jazz choreographer/movie director Bob Fosse. According to Raphael, ‘This program has something for everyone and is a great way to introduce young people to the magic of live performance. The range of work spans both contemporary and classical ballet and music as diverse Paul Winter, Bruce Springsteen, and Argentine Tango.”
A meet-and-greet with the performers follows each presentation. Rain date is Sunday, July 23rd at the same time.
Attendees may bring a picnic and lawn chairs.
