Avery 90 Film Screenings
The Wadsworth began screening films in 1928 and established a permanent home for cinema with the construction of the Avery Theater in 1934. Ever since, the museum has hosted early screenings of many classic masterpieces, groundbreaking documentaries, and experimental films made by artists. Join them to celebrate nine decades of film at the Wadsworth with two important films from the museum’s 1934 season: The Blood of a Poet (1930) and The Blue Angel (1930).
