Aftershocks of Disaster: Hurricane Maria
The Connecticut Museum hosts a special event featuring the screening of the film Aftershocks of Disaster (2020, NR) and a discussion with the filmmaker and editor of the accompanying book. The film examines the aftermath of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico offering a poignant look at the resilience and creativity of the island’s artists and activists who are forging new futures amidst the ruins left by the island’s compounding disasters. Afterwards, participate in a discussion and book signing with the film’s creator, Yarimar Bonilla.
