The 30th Annual Phyllis Hoffman Hartford Jewish Film Festival Presents: Maintenance Artist
Presented as part of the Mandell JCC’s 30th Annual Phyllis Hoffman Hartford Jewish Film Festival and in partnership with the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art, Maintenance Artist (2025, NR) explores the life and work of Mierle Laderman Ukeles, the groundbreaking artist who transformed cleaning, caretaking, and maintenance labor into radical art. The screening is followed by a Reel Talk with director Toby Perl Freilich and curator Rachel Gerstein, reflecting on Ukeles’ historic work in Hartford and its lasting impact.
