She’s Got to Make This Work: Ella and the Constitution
She’s Got to Make This Work: Ella and the Constitution comes to life in a staged reading at the Connecticut State Capitol, spotlighting the 1965 Constitutional Convention through the sharp resolve of Ella Grasso and the leaders who reshaped the state. The afternoon begins across the way at the Museum of Connecticut History with a rare look at Connecticut’s foundational documents, then returns to the Capitol for the performance and a talk-back with creator Linda Meyer and State Archivist Allen Ramsey. History steps off the page and onto the stage in honor of America 250.
