The mission of the Hartford Business Improvement District (HBID) is to bring about positive and lasting change by enhancing the economic vitality and quality of life within the District. Working collectively with the Mayor’s Office, Police Department and Public Works Department, as well as the more than 100 property owners and other organizations within the District, HBID will accomplish its mission through initiatives that create a safer, cleaner and more attractive environment for employees, residents and visitors to the District.

Automotive Services: The HBID Ambassadors provide help with lock-outs, emergency refueling, flat tires and jump starts in Downtown Hartford and a portion of Asylum Hill. The

Bicycle Services: The HBID Ambassadors can help fix a flat, inflate a tire, reattach a slipped chain, or tighten up loose bolts to help get you back on the road.

Meetings of the HBID board of commissioners are held the second Tuesday of each month at 31 Pratt Street, 5th Floor, Hartford, CT. The meetings of the District’s board of commissioners begin at 8:30 a.m. and shall be open to all property owners and lessees.
