Bread & Puppet Circus
Giant puppets, stilt dancers, papier-mâché beasts, and a brass band make subtlety entirely beside the point. Bread & Puppet Circus comes to Hartford with the Stowe Center for Literary Activism (First Presbyterian Church if it rains) for its unmistakable mix of protest, pageantry, slapstick, and radical theater, followed by the troupe’s famous sourdough rye bread.
