Made to Last: The Art and Craft of Shoemaking

Step back in time with Andrew Rowand, Connecticut shoemaker and expert, for a walk through the history of footwear. Using the CT Museum’s 18th-century shoes, including a pair made by sisters Hannah and Mary Edwards for a wedding in 1746, Rowand will demonstrate the art and craft of shoemaking from the past to the present. Don’t miss this chance to see these historical shoes up close and learn about the history beneath your feet.
