Avery 90 Public Lecture
The Wadsworth’s Avery Memorial building opened in February 1934 with the first comprehensive retrospective of Pablo Picasso’s work in the United States. Oliver Tostmann, Susan Morse Hilles Curator of European Art, will recount this landmark exhibition 90 years after its installation and examine a selection of works by Picasso in the museum’s collection.
