The Venus Effect

Out Film CT presents The Venus Effect, 2022 as part of the 36th Annual LGBTQ Film Festival.

In this charming romantic comedy, Liv is a young woman who is close to her parents and works in the family greengrocer business. Against all expectation, she falls in love with the spirited and somewhat older Andrea, who claims to be suffering from stress. But in reality, Andrea is heartbroken and has sought refuge at her uncle’s apple plantation. Liv’s relationship with Andrea is the catalyst for divorce, lost friendship and crisis, but she comes to see that love is mutable, and families come in many forms.
