Saint Omer
Celebrate April in Paris 2024 at Cinestudio. This year’s theme is Histoires d’histoire: Conséquences de la colonisation, films that explore the consequences of French colonization around the world. In Sain Omer (2022), Rama is a novelist who attends the trial of Laurence Coly, a young woman accused of killing her 15-month-old daughter. Testimonies from witnesses and Coly’s own words soon shake Rama’s convictions.
