Paul Winter Consort & Friends
As a prelude to the Vernal Equinox, the Paul Winter Consort will present “A Festival of Spring,” in the beautiful chapel of Trinity College. In the tradition of the multifaceted seasonal celebrations at New York’s Cathedral of St. John the Divine, the Consort will be collaborating with an array of kindred musicians, including the 25-member Trinity Samba ensemble, the 25 voices of the Trinity College Chapel Singers, organist Christopher Houlihan, and percussionist Eric Galm. The Consort will feature vocalist Theresa Thomason, Brazilian pianist Henrique Eisenmann, cellist Eugene Friesen, Bulgarian bassist Peter Slavov, Brazilian drummer Rogério Bocatto, and Paul Winter on soprano sax.
