Lawrence of Arabia in 70mm

Since 1970, Cinestudio has been an integral part of Trinity’s campus life. Part of the free and open 1823 Series, Cinestudio presents a curated series of iconic films that each represent a decade since its founding, as selected by alumni, students, faculty, and staff. The final film in the series is a Cinestudio classic, Lawrence of Arabia (1962, Rated PG). British Lieutenant T.E. Lawrence is sent to Arabia to find Prince Faisal and to serve as a liaison between the Arabs and the British in their fight against the Turks. With the aid of native Sherif Ali, Lawrence rebels against the orders of his superior officer and strikes out on a daring camel journey across the harsh desert to attack a well-guarded Turkish port.
