This spot is one of the coolest places in Hartford. Go once with one person, so you feel like you have the lay of the land and then go again with all of your friends so you can be the big shot who introduced them to the Polish National Home. This place is known for their Golabki, Pierogi, Bigos, Placki ziemniaczane, Krokiet and Kotlet (translation: stuffed cabbage rolls, dumplings filled with cabbage, potato & cheese or fruit, hunter’s stew, potato pancakes, croquette-stuffed, rolled pancake and pork or chicken cutlet). Don’t go on a Monday. The restaurant part is closed. You will stand outside the locked door and cry.
