St. Patrick’s Day is upon us, which means it’s almost parade time and we’re ALL CAPS EXCITED. Drape yourself in green, drink a bunch of Guinness, eat some corned beef and do a li’l jig to Hartford for all the celebrations.

Keep It Reel

The Greater Hartford St. Patrick’s Day Parade is a huge parade through the streets of Downtown Hartford. Keep an eye out for the Ironworkers’ Float, fire trucks, tons of great marching bands, sheep dogs, more fire trucks, fife and drum corps in full costume, bag pipers, Irish step dancers, floating Irish Pubs, leprechauns, cable knit sweaters and a few more firetrucks. The parade is held rain or shine.

Here To Paddy

Kick off your parade day right on a full stomach with some kegs and eggs then stay all day for the live musical stylings of Kevin Howard, Below the Gaff, and DJ Fades. Nearly every piece of this bar was imported from Ireland by owner and Irishman, Johnny Vaughan, down to the wood flooring and rosewood mahogany bar. If you’re setting out to do St. Patrick’s Day right this year, Vaughan’s is top of the list.

Dublin Down

Quench your Guiness thirst and get some of the best views in town from the rooftop bar. Pro-tip: Save some money and time and grab a presale party pass. That gets you access into all three of their bars (The Russian Lady, The Tavern Downtown, and The Rocking Horse Saloon) so you can paddy in style.

Leprecorned

Fuel up at Fornarelli’s Ristorante with kegs and eggs starting at 9:00 AM. A $25 buffet with food and beer included until 11:00 AM. The party starts right after with live music DJ Doc Mondo, drink specials, and some corned beef rueben sandwiches. Droooooooool.

Shamrock & Roll

Raise a pint and keep the paddy going. After you enjoy your parade festivities pop over to Pratt for live music, free koozies, and food and drink specials from all your favorite Pratt Street haunts. Sláinte!

The Pint of No Return

Do a li’l jig and head down to Arch Street Tavern for a wild end cap to your packed parade day. The live musical stylings of Sine Language and Juan MacLean promise an immersive experience of house and disco fusion.
