World AIDS Day Film Screening: Blue
In recognition of World AIDS Day, the Wadsworth Atheneum presents a free community screening of Derek Jarman’s Blue (1993, NR), co-hosted with Real Art Ways and Out Film CT. A single field of luminous blue fills the screen as Jarman, confronting AIDS in his final month, reflects on illness, love, and transcendence. This meditative final work launches Glitter & Ash: A Derek Jarman Retrospective, honoring one of queer cinema’s most visionary artists.
