Born in England and raised on the island of Puerto Rico before making his way to Hartford as a young adult, artist Miguel Jose Matos began his journey in the arts in 2016.After attending Boston University to study Finance and Political Science, he worked across fields including banking and administrative work with the city of Hartford for decades before launching as a self taught artist. Matos’ early work started as digital drawings on Microsoft paint and have since exploded into stylistically distinct works that reveal Matos’ talent as a multi-medium artist.
