Improv 499: Producing an Improv Show

This advanced course will take experienced improvisers through the complete process of creating and producing their own new improv shows.

This advanced course will take experienced improvisers through the complete process of creating and producing new improv shows.

Topics will include ideation, pitching, casting, rehearsing, workshopping, revising, and marketing a new show.Students are welcome to develop shows individually or collaborate in small teams.The course will culminate in a student showcase at the theater, where the productions will be performed for an invited audience.

Prerequisites: Completion of Improv 301 or Improv 302 or instructor approval. Contact greg@seateaimprov.com to request approval.
About the Instructor: Greg Ludovici is an improviser, director, and creative consultant who has had the absolute joy of collaborating with some of the most imaginative minds in the world, including teams at Marvel, Lucasfilm, Nintendo, Adobe, and LEGO Systems. He has produced stage shows, animations, video games, children’s audio books, and live interactive digital experiences. Greg studied improv at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, and serves as Artistic Director of Sea Tea Comedy Theater, where he has taught and performed improv comedy since 2009. Whether designing for theater, interactive media, or the classroom, Greg’s goal is always to create magical moments that invite audiences to play along.
