
Anika Noni Rose
Anika Noni Rose celebrates actor and singer Anika Noni Rose’s contributions to African American cultural history and celebrates her achievements thus far as a Black woman in the arts. This exhibition will display memorabilia from Rose’s personal collection that documents her career from childhood to the present day. A graduate of Bloomfield High School, Rose has achieved extraordinary success across a range of spaces in entertainment, as a singer, dancer, and actor. Among her many notable roles is the voice for Tiana, from the Disney film The Princess and the Frog. She was the first African American movie lead for Disney. Two years later, she was named a “Disney Legend,” due to the popularity and acclaim of the role. Since then, Rose has shone her talents across a wide swath of entertainment.
