All We Can Save Book Circle
What’s a book circle?
This is like a book club, except participants will be reading just one book, All We Can Save: Truth, Courage, and Solutions for the Climate Crisis.
This anthology “illuminates the expertise and insights of dozens of diverse women leading on climate in the United States — scientists, journalists, farmers, lawyers, teachers, activists, innovators, wonks, and designers, across generations, geographies, and races– and aims to advance a more representative, nuanced, and solution-oriented public conversation on the climate crisis. These women offer a spectrum of ideas and insights for how we can rapidly, radically reshape society.”
This is edited by Ayana Elizabeth Johnson and Katharine K. Wilkinson, and is newly available in paperback.
Today is the inaugural meeting of the book circle. There will be a total of ten meetings, with gatherings being in-person when weather & covid conditions permit. People are encouraged but not required to attend all sessions. Why so many meetings? This is an opportunity to dive deeply into the material, while giving folks who aren’t speed readers a chance to get through the text and have time to reflect. All gatherings will be on Sundays.
Participants are invited to bring snacks for themselves, and encouraged to bring their own water. Don’t forget the sunscreen!
