REGISTRATION IS FULL FOR THIS EVENT; THERE IS A WAITING LIST
Get outside, enjoy the return of live music to Hartford, and support our hometown musicians during this unprecedented summer. So grab your best mask, queue up your quarantine family and pals, and join us for the first-ever socially-distant Sunset Sounds Concert Series every Thursday in August from 6 to 8 pm! Bring a picnic and your lawn chair or blanket to enjoy music on the Richard P. Garmany Fund Music & Education Terrace (made possible by Hartford Foundation for Public Giving) in the lovely setting of the Butler-McCook Garden. Or, watch the concerts from the comfort of your own home on Facebook Live at https://www.facebook.com/butler.mccook/.
JUST ADDED BY POPULAR DEMAND! Join us on Thursday, August 27th for the Damian Curtis Latin Jazz Project. Born into a family of music connoisseurs, Damian Curtis was trained to play the piano at a young age. He is graduate of The Artists Collective, Inc. and the Hartt School of Music. He has studied both jazz and various forms of Latin music, working under the tutelage of the great Jackie McLean. Today Curtis himself teaches while continuing to perform with numerous jazz, Latin Jazz and salsa bands, as well as producing beats for many acclaimed hip-hop artists. The Damian Curtis Latin Jazz Project features Emmett Goods, trombone; Matt Dwonszyk, bass; Idalberto Perdomo, drums; Nelson Bello, percussion; and Damian Curtis, keys.
