Nat Reeves & Friends, led by the internationally-renowned bassist and Hartt Faculty member Nat Reeves, along with trombonist Steve Davis, pianist Matt De Champlain and Atla De Champlain on vocals. Joining this stellar line-up will be legendary octogenarian drummer, Steve Little–a West Hartford native son and the first student of Alexander Lepak.
Other friends will be sure to take the stage and join the fun on the Garmany Terrace for this very special evening!
Attendees are invited to bring blankets or lawn chairs and a picnic dinner to enjoy the lovely setting of the Butler-McCook historic garden, designed for the family by the famed landscape architect Jacob Weidenmann in 1865 and maintained by the West Hartford Garden Club. Free tours of the first floor of the historic house (COVID-permitting) and garden are available beginning at 5:30 pm.
Andres Chaparro will be the featured artist in the Amos Bull House’s Community Education Center and Juner Patnode will be the featured artist in the Butler-McCook House’s Aetna Gallery for the entire season.
Connecticut Landmarks’ Butler-McCook House & Garden will offer four free Sunset Sounds concerts, from 6 – 8 pm on the second Thursday of each month, from June through September. The concerts will be held on the Richard P. Garmany Fund Music & Education Terrace (made possible by Hartford Foundation for Public Giving).
