If you love holiday events like you should – with total freakish abandon, The Festival of Trees and Traditions is one of the very best of the Tannenbaumy events in the area.
Here are some things to think about while walking around enjoying the trees… 1.) It does not look like Santa threw up all over the Wadsworth. Because if Santa really did throw up all over the Wadsworth it would not be sparkly or merry or bright. It would probably look more like a combination of milk and figgy pudding. 2.) “Nutcracker” will always be a funny word, no matter how old you are. 3.) The phrase “Yule Log” is just as icky as the word “loaf.” 4.) If an elf farted it would no doubt smell like sugar cookies.
The Festival of Trees and Traditions opens 11/29 at First Thursday Art After Hours and runs through 12/9, with the exception of Monday & Tuesday, when the museum is closed. Daily performance and activity schedules are available from the Wadsworth.
