The Constitution of 1818 series continues with Robert J. Imholt, Professor Emeritus, Albertus Magnus College, for “The Constitution of 1818: A Milestone in Church-State Relations in Connecticut.” His talk will examine how the new Constitution ratified the changes in church-state relations that have evolved over the previous century and which became an impetus for further change in the 19th century.

This program begins at noon and is free to attend thanks to the support of Connecticut Humanities and Connecticut Explored, the magazine of Connecticut’s history. Registration is encouraged, but not required.
