Blues Jazz Project
Skip over to Connecticut’s Old State House for their annual Summer Concert Series! This year, the Summer Concerts will be held on the East Lawn side of Connecticut’s Old State House beginning at noon. Concerts will also be live-streamed on our Facebook page! Due to COVID-19, the in-person audience will be limited to 50, masks are required, and social distancing will be enforced by staff.
About the Artist:
Blues Jazz Project is the brainchild of Eli WIlliams with the collaboration of Matthew Holmes. This project bridges the two sounds and first performed in 2019 at the Bushnell Park Jazz Festival.
Eli Williams, known as XY Eli, is the main singer in the group. He has played many genres of music through the years, from R&B to Rock to Punk and has performed at many venues including Black Eyed Sally’s, the Wadsworth, Rum-Boogie, and The Apollo Theater.
Eli was the music director for a play about the Blues at the Yale Repertory Theater and he has taught guitar for many years at the Artist Collective. Matthew Holes is a graduate of the Jackie McLean Institute of Jazz at the University of Hartford. He is also the Director of the Youth Orchestra at the Artist Collective.
