“Asking For A Friend” with Chion Wolf is a live advice* show at Sea Tea Improv’s underground comedy theater for curious people with a sense of humor.
Write down your problem, put it in the big red box, and host Chion Wolf (WNPR, The Mouth-Off at The Mark Twain House & Museum, the Hartford Hot Several, Night Fall) will help you figure it all out with her panel of unqualified yet enthusiastic, thoughtful humans.
At the end of the night, Chion picks one audience volunteer randomly who gets a free pair of tickets to next month’s show, and the grand finale is a Reading of Confessions.
Very mature children are invited, and immature adults welcomed, profanity likely.
The audio of each show will be recorded live and released later as a podcast, so if you don’t want your snorting laughter or gasps of realizations broadcast to the whole world, please bring your highly-effective muffling techniques
*DISCLAIMER: This is NOT professional advice! These are people discussing all sorts of problems, telling stories, and exploring philosophical conundrums.
If you’re struggling in this chaotic, cruel, funny, absurd, amazing world, and you need someone to talk to, please call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline: 1-800-273-8255.
What’s cool is that you don’t have to be suicidal to call them. You don’t need to be at your lowest point to find help. You are NOT alone, and you’re always welcome at Sea Tea.
