Skip over to Connecticut’s Old State House for their annual Summer Concert Series! This year, the Summer Concerts will be held on the East Lawn side of Connecticut’s Old State House beginning at noon. Concerts will also be live-streamed on our Facebook page! Due to COVID-19, the in-person audience will be limited to 50, masks are required, and social distancing will be enforced by staff.
About the Artist:
Nekita Waller is Connecticut’s 17th State Troubadour. As State Troubadour, Nekita has been performing her original song, “Connecticut Anthem”, at schools and special events. Nekita is the first African American soloist and first non-folk genre artist to be chosen as Connecticut’s State Troubadour.
Nekita’s music has been described as pop and soul. She performs her original music along with music spanning many decades and different genres from Motown, Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder to the hits of today.
