This place is fantastic for three important reasons. The food is great, the desserts are legendary and every time someone suggests you go there, you get to scream "The Asylum Cafe?? Are you CRAZY???" before you happily head over there for something to eat.
They've got rockin good N.Y. style pizza, but that's far from all they serve. Appetizers like Little Neck Clams or Fried Calimari tossed with hot cherry peppers and garlic butter, all sorts of pastas, calzones and sandwiches, and entrees like Mike's Grilled Ribeye Steak, Tilapia Picatta, or rebecca's Chicken Rollantini - Chicken breast lightly breaded and rolled with prosciutto, mozzarella and fresh herbs in a sherry wine demi-glaze served with garlic mashed potatoes and julienne vegetables. Last but not least, award winning cheesecake, Chef Joe's Canolis, chocolate torte and creme brulee.
